20:4 fasting is one of the strictest versions of all the different intermittent fasting method. As you know, 20:4 means you will fast for 20 hours a day, and the left the remaining 4 hours window to eat.
For example, you may eat from 12pm – 4pm, and then start fasting from 4pm to next day 12pm, this is a 20:4 fasting.
During the 20-hour fasting time, you can eat small snacks like raw fruits and vegetables, small amounts of dairy products, and hard-boiled eggs. In the four-hour eating time, you can eat whatever you want.
The 20:4 fasting protocol may be a difficult challenge for beginners. If you want to try it, you’d better start from other protocols such as the 16:8 or 18:6 first.
